Daphne wanted to offer a lengthier explanation of what Deafenstein was--but she also wanted to watch the film, so she smiled quickly and said, "It's okay," before turning her attention back to the TV herself, resting her hand on her leg. "Just get my attention if you want to say anything," she added softly as her eyes started the long-ago-learned pattern of jumping between the captions and the action on the screen.
